1. What are AM and FM?

AM works by modulating (varying) the amplitude of the signal or carrier transmitted according to the information being sent, while the frequency remains constant. This differs from FM technology in which information (sound) is encoded by varying the frequency of the wave and the amplitude is kept constant.

AM: amplitude modulation   FM: frequency modulation

POLARITY: traveling vertical or horizontal

2. Which band has better transmission, AM or FM?

The commercial uses FM band frequencies to 108 MHz 10.2435MHz.

Longwave (153-281 kHz) AM
Medium wave (535 kHz to 1705 kHz)
shortwave (1705 kHz to 30 MHz).

3. What kind of interference can be found on the transmission of radio waves?

There are three basic types of interference: radio frequency interference (RFI - Radio Frequency Interference), electrical interference and intermodulation.

4. What antennas are mentioned in the video and what are their functions?

ANTENNAS: Elevated or underground

  1. They can shape and focus the waves are promoting gain or amplification of the signal

5. What type of waves are there in radio transmission?

Electromagnetic and electrical.

6. What is line of Sight (LOS)?

Is the line on which the antennas are other antenna for transmission
